COVID-19 Response
18th March 2020
Due to the current situation in regard to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Garden Club Committee has decided to suspend our monthly general meetings until further notice.
Indoor gatherings of one hundred people or less is the Government recommendation. We feel that as we are all members of the age group most vulnerable to this virus, the responsible thing to do is to stay away from general meetings for now. It would be impossible to maintain the recommended social distancing of 1.5m between people in the hall, even though our numbers are normally below one hundred.
Please keep in touch with us by using the website: www.wentworthfallsgardenclub.com
We will add further information when necessary so go to the header, What’s New to keep up to date. There will also be a mini Newsletter published on the website on the second Thursday of the month to coincide with what would have been our general meeting. If you would like to contribute an item the editorial team would be happy to hear from you and publish if possible. You can contact us by going to wentworthfallsgardenclub@gmail.com.
For those of you not able to access the internet you will have received this letter the usual way by post and we will see you receive the mini Newsletter this way too.
Enjoy your extra time in the garden and stay well.
Best wishes from Carol and the WFGC Committee.
